A client's comment about my estimates changed how I price jobs

A homeowner in Red Deer told me my itemized quote looked like a grocery list and felt too detailed. Now I group labor and materials into just 3 lines and close way more bids. Anyone else get feedback that changed your quoting style?

Yeah, I had a similar thing happen a few years back. I used to break everything down by parts, labor, and supplies and guys would nitpick every single line. Now I just do three lines: labor, materials, and a flat fee for shop supplies. Cuts the back and forth way down and they never ask about the $15 for gloves and rags.
