PSA: Stop using impact guns on lug nuts without a torque stick
Watched a guy at a shop in Phoenix snap three studs in a row using a cheap HFT impact on full blast. He bragged it never failed him but I counted 10 cars that day with wobbling wheels. Torque sticks cost like $15 for a set and save you from comebacks. Anyone else deal with stripped lugs from overzealous ugga-duggas?

The first time I snapped a lug stud I swore I'd never go back to ugga-dugga style, and a $12 torque stick set later I haven't had one come loose. You're right, cheap tools just create more work.

Those torque sticks do work well if you match them to the right impact gun. Just keep in mind a $12 set is probably not all that accurate, especially after a few uses. Worth picking up a click-type torque wrench for the final check on critical stuff like wheel nuts.
