Spent $40 on a custom foam insert for my copy of Gloomhaven and it's the best thing ever
My game box was a total mess, with all the pieces mixed together and setup taking forever. I found a seller on Etsy who cuts foam to fit each mini and token slot, and now I can set up a scenario in under five minutes. Has anyone else tried a custom insert for a big box game, and was it worth it for you?

Hold on, calling it a secret tax is a bit off. A tax is something you have to pay. This is a choice to fix a problem the game makers created. They pack these huge boxes with no real plan for storage, so we end up paying extra to solve it ourselves. It's more like a penalty for bad design. Your foam insert sounds awesome, but it stinks we need to buy it at all.
