Walked past a half-built retaining wall in Akron last Tuesday and cringed at the mortar joints
I was up in Akron visiting my sister last Tuesday and drove past a new retaining wall going up at some strip mall, and the mortar joints were all over the place, some fat, some skinny, no consistency at all. Whoever was on that job either rushed it or never learned to keep their bed depth even, and it bugged me the rest of the drive because that wall is gonna hold water and crack within a couple winters. Am I the only one who can't stop eyeing joints on other people's work when I'm off the clock, or does everyone do this?
