Took 4 tries to beat moisture in a detached garage, finally figured it out
I kept storing my truck in a detached garage near Spokane and every spring the seats felt damp and the floor had that slick film. First I tried a basic dehumidifier but it ran nonstop and did nothing, then I added vent fans and that only helped a little. After 3 months of frustration I realized the concrete floor was wicking moisture up, so I sealed it with a cheap epoxy kit and put the car on rubber tiles. Now after a heavy rain last week the interior stayed bone dry. Has anyone else dealt with a slab that just won't quit sweating?
