Switched from bagging my weekly pulls to a longbox system last spring

I used to keep every new Wednesday issue in a plastic bag until I had over 200 comics piled on my desk. Now I sort them directly into a longbox by publisher and it took my stack from a 4 foot tower down to one neat box. Anyone else ditch the bags for daily reading?

Yeah, I did the exact same thing last year and honestly it was the best change I ever made to how I read comics. I was drowning in bags and backing boards, and my desk looked like a disaster zone. Now I just drop new issues straight into my longbox by publisher like you said, and it freed up so much space in my room. I still bag some key issues or stuff I want to keep minty, but for everything else I just let them stack loose in the box. Saves time and money on bags, plus I actually read more now since they're not buried under a pile.

Man I feel that so hard. I started doing the same thing a couple years ago when my closet literally couldn't close anymore because of all the bagged books. What really helped me was grabbing some BCW short boxes instead of the regular long ones. They're easier to stack and move around, plus I can fit more of them in my space. I also got into the habit of tossing a silica gel pack in each box just to keep moisture away since they're not bagged. It's honestly kind of liberating not treating every single issue like it's a priceless artifact you know.
