Switched from foil highlights to balayage for my clients and I'm never going back
I was always a foil girl because that's how I learned in beauty school back in 2018. But after watching a stylist at the Aveda Institute in Denver do a balayage on a client with dark hair, I tried it myself last month. The grow-out is so much softer and my clients are coming back every 12 weeks instead of every 6 now. Anyone else find balayage easier on their wrists too?

Oh wow, that wrist thing really caught my attention... how long did it take before you noticed a difference in your hands? I've been thinking about switching but I'm worried about messing up the technique on darker hair since you can't really see what you're doing as you go. Did you find the learning curve with balayage was harder than you expected compared to foils?
