My two factor app locked me out of my own account for 4 hours

I migrated my phone data over to a new Pixel 8 last week and forgot that my authenticator app wouldn't transfer the tokens. Ended up locked out of my work email for 4 hours while I got the support team to reset everything. Has anyone found a decent backup method for those TOTP codes that doesn't involve printing everything out?

Had the same thing happen to me last year and I was really against the whole password manager thing before that, but it completely changed my mind after I spent a whole afternoon locked out of my bank accounts. I use Bitwarden now and just keep my TOTP seeds in a separate encrypted folder within the vault, it syncs across devices so I never lose them again. Works way better than printing a bunch of codes or keeping a spreadsheet you'll forget to update.
