Showerthought: the state fair accessibility map beat the app, and I did not see that coming
I use a wheelchair and went to the state fair in Springfield two weeks ago with my daughter. We pulled up the official app first, and it kept routing us to gates that only had stairs, so we gave up after the second dead end. Then a volunteer handed us a paper map with the accessible entrances marked in yellow highlighter. That thing was right every single time, all 9 stops we made that day. The app was updated in May, the paper map was printed that morning, and honestly I think that is the whole answer right there. It felt like a small win, but it saved us probably an hour of backtracking in 90 degree heat. Has anyone else had a paper guide beat the app at a big event, or is it just me?
