Emergency fix: heat press came loose so I used a panini press instead

My heat press broke mid-project yesterday, so in a panic I grabbed my $20 panini press from the kitchen and it actually flattened and cured my screen printed tote bags fine. Has anyone else tried weird kitchen appliances as backup gear?
