Blew $80 on a fancy corner trowel that made my work worse
I saw this high end corner trowel at the supply house last month, the one with the curved blade and special handle. Figured it would speed up my inside corners on a big commercial job over in Maplewood. First few passes felt okay but after about twenty feet I started seeing ripples and drag marks I never get with my old cheap trowel. Thought maybe I just needed to break it in but nope, it kept leaving a wavy finish that took forever to sand out. Ended up tossing it in my tool bag and switching back to my beat up Stanley mid wall. Has anyone else fallen for a tool that actually made your finishing worse instead of better?

You too? I bought that same trowel and it left the ugliest finish I ever made.
