My main glory hole brick cracked clean in half on Tuesday

It was an old one I'd had for about five years, just gave out while I was heating a gather. I had to finish the piece using the smaller side hole, which was a real pain. Anyone have a good source for replacement firebricks that won't break the bank?

Ugh, that's the worst sound. Did it just go with a loud pop? My main brick split last winter, right down the middle like a cookie. I ended up getting a decent one from the local pottery supply, it was cheaper than the big glass shops. Still hurt the wallet though.

Actually that pop sound is kind of satisfying in a weird way. Makes you pay attention. And the big glass shops usually have better stuff that lasts longer anyway.
