Can we talk about how AI voice cloning almost got me fired last week

So last Tuesday I was testing one of those new AI voice cloning tools for a client project. I recorded a 30 second sample of my own voice to mess around with it. Well I got distracted and left the program running on my laptop during a Zoom meeting with my boss. The AI started spitting out fake meeting notes in my voice saying I agreed to take on three extra projects. My boss was like "glad you're on board with the extra work" and I had to explain the whole thing. It took me 20 minutes to prove it was a glitch and not me agreeing to more work. Has anyone else had a situation where AI voice tech caused actual workplace drama like that?

Did your boss actually buy that explanation or did you have to pull up logs and timestamps to prove you weren't just trying to weasel out of the extra work?
