Found out the hard way my torque wrench was lying to me for two years
Was doing a plug change on a 172 at our hangar in Spokane and the A&P next to me asked where my wrench got calibrated. Said the shop in town does it for $75 and mine had never been touched since I bought it used in 2021. Sure enough it was reading about 15 percent light, so every fastener I thought I snugged to spec was under. How often do you guys send yours out, yearly or by hours?

Bought mine used in 2019 and figured it was close enough, then found out the hard way it was 12 percent off on a cylinder head job. Now I send it to a guy in Reno every spring before annual time.
