Drywall contractor in Edmonton asked if I wanted his leftover screws

He was packing up after finishing a basement and offered me a 5-gallon bucket of mostly-full screws for free. Took it home, sorted through it, and found about 80 percent were usable, saved me a trip to the store on my next small patch job. Anyone else get random hand-me-downs from trades that actually worked out?

That bucket of mostly full screws is a solid score, but my best trade hand me down was a half used tube of caulk that the guy left behind. I was so pumped until I found out it was dried out and basically a fancy stick. Now I have a collection of mystery bits and pieces in my garage that I'm too scared to throw away because "what if I need it someday." Honestly, my garage looks like a hardware store had a garage sale and I'm the only customer.
