TIL a guy at the lumber yard in Red Deer told me to stop ordering 2x4s by the bundle

I was picking up material for a garage frame in Penhold and mentioned I always grab an extra bundle to be safe. He said most guys lose 8 to 10 percent of their stock to warping sitting in the yard, and told me to just order what I need and swap the bad ones at the counter. Cut my waste down to almost nothing on the last two jobs, has anyone else had luck doing it that way?
