Induction cooktops keep frying their boards in my area, gas models hold up better.

Are induction cooktops just fancy paperweights where you live too? Seems like the circuit boards give out if you look at them wrong, while gas stoves just keep chugging along. Maybe we're all just paying for planned failure with a side of instant boil.

So the boards die if you look at them wrong... what's killing them, power surges or just cheap parts?

Ugh, induction models have too many fragile parts. The circuit boards fry from any power issue. Old school gas just works.
