Can we talk about pruning paint? A retired guy in Fresno got in my head about wound dressing
Had a chat with a retired arborist at the Fresno farmers market two days ago who told me he quit using wound dressings back in 1987 and never lost a tree over it. He pointed at a 40 year old oak near the lot and said the tree sealed itself better than anything in a can, and honestly I've been second guessing my shelf of tar ever since. So do you all still dress cuts on your oaks, or did you drop it like he did?
