Swore I'd never fell leaning back into the hinge, then a guy in Missoula showed me why it works
I always cut my notch straight in and fought every back leaner with wedges until a retired cutter named Dale walked me through a Humboldt with the back cut angled down maybe 2 inches over the felling shot. Three leaners in a row dropped right where I pointed them last Tuesday, so now I'm a believer. Anyone else run a sloping back cut or do you stay level and just chase it with plastic?
