The gallon of milk trick for tougher houseplants finally clicked for me
I was watering my peace lily last Tuesday and noticed it was drooping again, so I grabbed the watering can and then stopped. I remembered a comment from a gardening sub where someone said to use the leftover milk from the bottom of a jug, diluted with water, as a calcium boost. I tried it on just that one plant, and within three days the new leaves came in noticeably stiffer and greener. Has anyone else used dairy water on their plants, or is this a fluke I should probably not repeat with the ferns?
