Watched a whole shop lose its air tools over the last decade

Back in 2014 I was working at a shop in Columbus where every bay had an impact gun on a hose and we argued over who left the compressor running overnight. Now I walk into that same building and every tech has a battery setup on their cart, maybe one air line left for tire machines and lifts. Do you guys still keep a compressor as the main workhorse or is it just for the specialty stuff now?
