Found a starling dead under my feeder last Tuesday, and the vet said it was the jelly
I put grape jelly out for the orioles starting in late March, and by last Tuesday I had a dead starling right under the feeder. Took it to a wildlife rehab lady in Bloomington, and she said the jelly ferments fast in warm weather and grows mold they can't handle. She told me to swap it every single day or skip it once it hits 80 degrees. Anyone else had this happen with jelly or suet in the heat?
