Appreciation post: I changed my mind about virtual coffee breaks

I was going to miss our team's virtual coffee break after a rough morning of tech issues and complaints. But I logged on anyway, and the silly conversation completely changed my outlook. Has a casual work moment ever improved your day like that?

That "silly conversation" saving the day is so real. I had a morning full of broken links and was totally checked out, but then a quick team chat about nothing important actually reset my brain. It’s crazy how a few dumb jokes can be such a good reset button.

Who knew @nancy_morgan's team chat was just your brain's reset button?

Oh totally. I read this article about how our brains need those low-stakes social moments to actually work better after stress. It's like @nancy_morgan said, a total reset. My team will start a video call just to complain about the weather or a bad sandwich, and ten minutes later I can actually focus on my spreadsheet again. It sounds dumb but it fixes the whole vibe.
