Tried watching The Room with my girlfriend last weekend and she walked out 20 minutes in

We were about halfway through the famous rooftop scene when she turned to me and said 'this is just bad, not funny bad.' I tried to explain the whole so-bad-it's-good thing but she grabbed her phone and left for the bedroom. Any tips for getting someone who doesn't get bad movie humor to actually stick through one?

Your girlfriend's got a point honestly. I tried showing my buddy The Room once and he spent the whole time asking why the football was so wobbly. I got so distracted explaining the production budget and Tommy Wiseau's whole deal that I missed the spoon picture frame scene. Now I just screen bad movies alone and tell people about them later. Saves the relationship.
