Worst brake bleed of my life was on a kid's bike last Wednesday

Got a call from a mom whose son's bike brakes felt spongy, figured it was a quick bleed job. Turns out someone had put DOT fluid in a Shimano system, the seals were toast and it was leaking all over the rim. Took me 3 hours to replace the caliper and flush the line, charged her $85 but only made $20 after parts. Anyone else run into mystery fluid mixups in customers' rides?
