TIL a $4 magnet from Harbor Freight saves my jacket buttons from my knife
I carry a Victorinox Cadet loose in my chest pocket and it kept chewing up the buttons on my vintage 1968 Sears field jacket, snagging threads every time I reached in. Last month I glued a small rare earth magnet to the inside of the pocket with shoe goo and now the knife snaps flat and stays put against the fabric. Zero snags in 5 weeks of daily wear and the jacket buttons are finally safe. Anyone else rig up something like this for their knife pockets?
