My game group almost fell apart over a rules argument about 'Root'... it got pretty heated.

Man, that Root rulebook is a special kind of confusing. We had a huge fight over the dominance cards until someone finally read the Law of Root FAQ.

The dominance rules are just the tip of the iceberg... we spent twenty minutes arguing about whether the Eyrie could move into a clearing with a sympathy token before someone found the right paragraph. The way they split rules between the law and the learning guide means you're constantly flipping pages. It's a great game, but you need a dedicated rules lawyer at the table just to get through the first hour.
