The soil test result that blew my mind in Portland
I finally got around to sending a sample from my backyard to the Oregon State lab, and the pH came back at 8.2. I've been growing blueberries for 3 years here and never checked the dirt, just blamed the weather every time the leaves yellowed. Turns out the previous owner had lime spread all over for a lawn that's long gone. Anyone else trust their local nursery's guess instead of paying the $25 for a proper test?
