TIL a $150 laser level can save you a whole afternoon of arguing with a foundation.
Got a new job laying block for a garage, and the footing was a solid inch out of square over 20 feet. I set up my DeWalt laser, showed the contractor the red line on the tape measure, and we had it fixed before lunch. How do you guys handle it when the concrete guys leave you a mess to fix?

Honestly, that DeWalt laser is a lifesaver. I keep a cheap one in my truck just for those moments. The concrete crew left a footing nearly two inches out last month, and it was the same story. Showed the foreman the line, no argument. It just takes the fight out of it when the tool shows the truth. Tbh, I'd rather spend the money on the gear than waste half a day yelling over a tape measure.

But how do you handle it when the laser itself gets argued with? Seen guys fight over whether the dot was placed right or if the laser was level.
