Hot take: My "30 minute" budget meal took 2 hours and I'm still mad
I tried that new sheet pan recipe with chicken thighs and frozen veggies last Tuesday, thinking it'd be a quick weeknight win. But between defrosting the chicken, chopping the carrots cause the veggies were in a huge block, and scrubbing the burnt pan after, I was in the kitchen for 2 hours. Has anyone else found a real set it and forget it dinner that actually takes under 30 minutes with cleanup?

Honestly, rotisserie chicken and bagged salad is my go-to when I need to not think. Ngl, I've been burned by those sheet pan recipes too, and the cleanup always takes longer than they say. A pre-cooked protein and a steam-in-bag veggie side saves me every time.

Two hours and you're still mad? Come on, it's dinner not a life sentence. Sounds like you just picked the wrong recipe or didn't read it through all the way before starting. You can't blame the whole concept of quick dinners for one bad experience with frozen veggies in a brick. Try something stupid simple like a rotisserie chicken from the store and a bagged salad, that'll be under 5 minutes with zero cleanup. Or just get takeout and stop pretending you're a meal prep warrior.
