I keep a tally sheet taped to the shelf above my bench, mostly for insurance records, and I marked number 500 last Tuesday afternoon. The camera that got me there was a beat up Olympus Trip 35 a guy dropped off from Sacramento, sticky aperture and a dead meter cell, nothing glamorous. Felt strange that a little zone focus point and shoot was the one, since I figured a Rolleiflex or a Leica would land on the round number. Six years of shutter jobs, light seals, and way too many fungus cleanings got me here, and the tally sheet is looking pretty full. Curious what camera sat on your bench for your own round number, was it something nice or something silly like mine?
