Cousin told me to wait on buying in Kitchener, still not sure if she was right

My cousin bought in Kitchener back in 2019 and kept telling me to hold off on buying near downtown because prices would come back down. I ended up buying a 2 bed condo in 2021 for $385k and now similar units are going for around $420k, so I guess waiting would've cost me more. But with rates where they are now, does anyone actually feel like they timed this market right?
