My battery tender fried itself after 11 years of service

The old one finally gave up last Tuesday while I was prepping the bike for spring, and when I opened it up, the circuit board was completely corroded from garage moisture. I grabbed a cheap replacement from Canadian Tire in Kamloops, but I'm wondering if anyone else has found a model that actually survives a damp shed through the whole season?
