Took me 3 hours to fix a cabinet door that should've taken 20 minutes

I was hanging a pair of inset cabinet doors in a kitchen remodel near Tulsa... and the gaps just wouldn't line up no matter what I did. Started adjusting the hinges, then checked the box itself, then re-measured the openings about five times. Turns out the plywood panel inside the door had swollen by about 1/8th of an inch from moisture. Had to run to the shop and plane it down by hand, then re-glue it all back together. Has anyone else had hidden moisture screw up a simple job like that?

Blame that dang humidity every time, it sneaks into places you'd never expect and causes all kinds of headaches.

Preach, Mary... my basement door swells up so bad every summer I have to practically body-slam it to get it closed.
