120 yards in one room changed my mind about patterned carpet

Been installing for about 8 years now and always avoided patterned rolls like the plague. Too many seams to match, too much room for error, customers always complain about the repeat not lining up. Then last month I got a job in a church fellowship hall outside Waco, 120 yards of this geometric pattern, single room but with three doorways and a center aisle that broke everything up. I told the pastor we'd need to order 10% extra and he looked at me like I was trying to upsell him. So I measured twice, did my layout on paper for the first time in forever, and marked every seam line with chalk before cutting. Took me and my helper about 9 hours total, which felt brutal, but every single seam matched clean. The pastor even walked the whole floor on his knees checking it. Now I actually bid patterned jobs with confidence instead of adding a panic tax. Has anyone else had that moment where a job type you dreaded suddenly clicked? Or am I the only one who avoided patterns for way too long?
