Found out most new carpet is made to last 8 to 10 years, not 20
Was reading a mill spec sheet on a job in Phoenix last month and it said the face weight and backing are rated for about a decade of normal traffic, which made me think about all the 15 year old plush I pulled up back in the day that still looked decent, so I'm curious if anyone here is seeing newer goods wear out faster than the old stuff.

Check the face weight per square yard before buying, cheap stuff wears out way faster.
