Tack strip gaps, how tight is too tight? My neighbor's floor popped after 9 months
I keep seeing guys leave a thumb-width gap at the seams and swear it's for expansion, but a job I did in Denver last spring is still flat with strips damn near touching... meanwhile a buddy's install from 2018 buckled right along his seam line. Are we overthinking the expansion thing, or is that gap actually what's killing us on hot days?
