Canned beans vs dried beans is not even a contest after I did the math
I used to always buy canned black beans because I thought dried beans were too much hassle. Then I did the math last week and I felt like an idiot. A bag of dried beans costs me $1.50 and makes about 6 cans worth of beans. That is like 25 cents a can versus $1.50 each at the store. Plus the dried ones taste way better, no metallic can flavor or slimy texture. I soak them overnight and cook them in about an hour while I do other stuff. The only downside is remembering to soak them the night before. Has anyone else made the switch and found a flavor difference or am I just imagining it?

I used to always buy canned black beans" is me to a T until I read something about the cans having BPA lining. That got me to try dried and honestly the texture alone is worth it. Canned beans always taste a little off to me now.

@caleb_gibson ever tried sprouting dried beans... changes the whole game on digestibility too.
