Showerthought: the dented produce rack at my Food Lion sells peppers for 79 cents a pound
Stopped by the Food Lion on Brambleton Ave last week and noticed a whole rack of slightly dented bell peppers marked down to 79 cents a pound instead of the usual $1.50. I grabbed six of them, chopped and froze what I couldn't use in a week, and they tasted exactly the same in my stir fry. The dents are just from shipping, not spoilage, so I check that rack first now before hitting the regular produce section. Anyone else have a store with a secret discount corner like this?
