Rant: my rice cooker died mid batch and now I'm eating crunchy jasmine rice for lunch
The thing is 7 years old, bought it at a thrift store in Reno for $8. Worked fine Monday. Tuesday it just clicked off at 12 minutes and never came back on. I tried the reset trick with a chopstick like some guy on YouTube said. Nothing. So now I've got 4 cups of half cooked rice sitting in there and I already dumped the chicken and frozen peas on top of it. I ate a bowl anyway because I'm not wasting $2 worth of food. Tasted like tiny rocks. Anyone got a fix for a dead rice cooker that won't turn on, or am I just stuck making rice in a regular pot like some kind of pioneer?
