My home energy bill hit a new low and it got me thinking about priorities

I just got my monthly electricity statement and it was $42, the lowest it's been since I moved in. I've been slowly making changes for a while, like switching bulbs and being strict about turning things off, but this number really surprised me. It made me wonder if focusing on personal cuts like this is the real win, or if it's just a drop in the bucket compared to pushing for bigger system changes, like community solar or voting for different energy policies. On one side, seeing that low number feels like a direct, personal win and saves me cash I can put elsewhere. On the other, it's easy to feel like my little efforts don't matter much in the grand scheme. What's the better use of time and energy for someone who wants to make a real difference?
