Spent $140 on a used probe setup, got my downtime back in a week
My old edge finder routine was eating 2 hours a day on repeat parts. Saw a used renishaw style probe kit on Craigslist near Dayton for $140 and figured I'd gamble on it. Cleaned the stylus, ran the calibration cycle 3 times, and now I'm setting up jobs in minutes instead of fiddling with offsets. The macro files took me a night to figure out, but they're baked into my posts now. Anyone else run a cheap used probe or do you stick with manual touch offs?
