Heard a guy at my local shop say he re-bags comics before he even reads them, and now I do it too
I was at Empire Comics in Bakersfield a couple weeks back and overheard a guy at the counter say he sleeves and boards every new book the second he gets home, even the floppy ones he paid $4.99 for, then reads the digital copy instead. I laughed at first, but he pointed out that a bent corner cost him a full run of Saga he had to rebuy at $30 an issue, so now I do the same thing. It takes like two minutes and my boxes have zero spine ticks since I started. Anybody else bag before reading, or am I just copying a stranger now?
