I finally swapped my old Kirby Morgan for a new one, the weight difference is wild

After 8 years on the same KM 37 I finally gave in and picked up a new band mask. My neck and shoulders were screaming every time I surfaced in Port Hueneme. The new one is almost 3 pounds lighter and it balances way better on my head. First dive last Thursday felt like I was wearing nothing compared to the old brick. Anyone else struggle to let go of their old gear even when it's clearly beat? I still keep the old one as a backup but I'm not sure I can ever go back.
