That drysuit zipper lube trick from the Gulf job last fall

We were doing hull inspections off Port Fourchon back in October and my zipper started catching something fierce. One of the older guys on the crew pulled out a little tube of silicone paste, not the spray, and told me to wipe it on the zipper teeth with a rag before every dive. Made a huge difference, no more fighting it at the surface. I've been doing it ever since. Anyone else got a tip for keeping drysuit zippers smooth in cold, gritty water?
