Found a weird trick for stuck GPU bracket screws after 2 hours of hell
Got a build on my bench yesterday, a prebuilt that someone wanted upgraded. The GPU bracket screws were locktited from the factory or something, I stripped one with my regular driver and almost gave up. Tried the rubber band trick, tried the impact driver, nothing. Then I grabbed a soldering iron, heated the screw head for like 30 seconds, and it came right out with a pair of needle nose pliers. Heat breaks the thread locker bond way better than any chemical I've tried. Took me about 45 minutes total after that to swap the whole thing and test it. Anyone else got a weird fix for stripped screws that actually saves your butt on the clock?

Like when something is stuck, we want to force it harder, but actually loosening up the situation with heat or patience is what does it. It's the same with frozen bolts on a car or even a stubborn jar lid, you gotta change the environment around the problem, not just attack the problem itself. Your soldering iron is basically a cheat code for thread locker, and now you'll probably reach for it before you even grab the screwdriver next time. Stuff like this is why I love doing my own repairs, you pick up these weird little life hacks that a manual will never tell you about.
