After the Denver airport luggage maze I stopped trusting the signs
I flew into Denver last Tuesday and ended up walking 20 minutes through that weird underground tunnel with all the murals, then the luggage carousel sign pointed one way while the actual baggage claim was on the other side of the building. A guy in a blue vest told me to follow the lights, which made no sense at all, but I did and somehow it worked. This got me thinking about how often official instructions are just decoys or outdated, like that time my uncle followed a detour sign for 5 miles and ended up at a closed bridge. Now I watch where the airport workers actually go instead of reading the boards, and it saves me about 15 minutes every trip. Has anyone else noticed that the route painted on the floor never matches the ceiling signs at big hub airports, or is it just Denver? I'm curious if other places do this on purpose to keep people wandering through the shops.

Following the lights is nuts but honestly the painted arrows always lie at Denver too. I think the murals are just there to make the tunnel feel less like a prison. Maybe they rotate the signs based on whatever airline is late that day.
