Vent: the booth rent hike at my salon in Boise just made my whole week worse
My salon owner in Boise raised booth rent from $180 to $260 a week starting in February and told us it was to cover 'rising product costs' even though we buy our own color. What got me is that two chairs sat empty for five weeks while she kept the rate high instead of cutting anyone a break, so I moved my books and my clients followed without a single complaint. Is anyone else seeing rents jump way past what the chair is actually worth, or is this just a Boise thing right now?
