Just realized paying $30 for a used DVD player beat my whole streaming setup for a rainy weekend
Picked up a $30 DVD player at a pawn shop in Tulsa last Friday because the wifi was acting up and I wanted something to watch during a storm. Grabbed four movies out of the $2 bin, and honestly, not scrolling for 40 minutes trying to pick something was the best part. I always figured disc players were a waste since everything is online now, but my power flickered twice and the movies kept playing fine. Picked up Tombstone and The Fugitive, and finishing a whole movie in one sitting felt weirdly great. Anyone else keep a cheap player around just for nights when the internet craps out?
