Pro tip: skip the 2am screening of the 3 hour director's cut, I lost my Saturday
Sat down on my couch in Dayton around 11pm Friday with a giant bowl of popcorn to finally knock out the 3 hour 17 minute director's cut of a movie I'd only seen the normal version of. Passed out cold at the 90 minute mark, woke up at 4am with the credits rolling and popcorn glued to my shirt, so I had to restart the whole thing Saturday morning and lost half my day. If you're gonna do a long cut, start it before 8pm or you're just gonna rewatch the first half twice like me. How do you guys handle the 3 hour plus movies without tapping out?
Man I gotta disagree on this one. Some movies are just meant for the late night couch session, popcorn on the shirt and all. The real trick is don't restart it, just pick up where you nodded off and accept that you missed 20 minutes of mumbling dialogue.
